Minimally Invasive Surgery

Minimally invasive surgery is surgery done through small (1/2 inch) incisions. The smaller the incision, the less surgical trauma, so there is less pain and swelling and recovery is easier and quicker.

Tenex is a type of minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinopathy.

Ankle arthroscopy is the most common minimally invasive surgery for the foot and ankle. Arthroscopy is performed with miniature instruments and is used to treat osteochondral lesions of the talus, soft tissue impingement, early arthritis, and loose bodies in the joint.
